Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how payments, refunds, and cancellations work for services provided by Virgil LLC, doing business as Virgil Web Design (“we,” “us”). Because our work is custom and time-based, we've tried to keep it simple and fair.

One-time projects

Website design and development projects are quoted at a fixed price in a written proposal. Unless your proposal says otherwise, projects are billed in two payments:

• a 50% deposit, due before work begins, which reserves your place in our schedule; and
• the remaining 50%, due when the site is approved and before it is launched.

Refunds on project deposits

• Before work begins: if you cancel within 7 days of paying your deposit and before we have started work, we will refund the deposit in full.
• After work begins: if you cancel after work has started, we will refund any portion of the deposit not yet earned, based on the work completed to that point, and deliver the work completed so far.
• After design approval: once you have approved the final design, the deposit is non-refundable.

Final payments

Final payments are due once you have reviewed and approved the finished site. Because the work has been completed and accepted at that point, final payments are non-refundable. If something isn't right, please tell us — we will fix any defect in work we delivered at no charge for 30 days after launch.

Monthly plans

Hosting and maintenance plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months.

Disputes

If you believe you've been charged in error, please contact us before disputing the charge with your bank so we can resolve it quickly. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
